PROGRAMS FOR SENIORS & KIDS:
We have very few programs for seniors in Dania Beach. I will work with our Parks Department to establish new programs for our seniors at our underutilized parks buildings. I would also like to see more mentoring programs for our children. We need after school programs, which will help our children learn skills that will help them make good choices as they grow up and become adults. This includes not only sports programs, but also programs that can help kids become more involved in the community and can help them to develop and attain future goals.

Five good — seven bad — amendments for Florida’s Constitution | Editorial
This commentary is longer than we would like, but so is the Nov. 6 ballot, which includes 12 proposed constitutional amendments, far too many. Several would seriously undermine Florida’s government and compromise our future.
The blame falls mainly on the Legislature and the Constitution Revision Commission, which squandered an opportunity that comes once every 20 years to put amendments directly on the ballot.
Dania Beach is growing. New development is taking place all over the city, including both commercial and residential. We need to be ready for that development and the thousands of additional people who will be moving here and visiting our city. Our sewers need to be updated. Our roads need to be better supported. We need to inspect our bridges and increase the support needed. We need to address traffic and safety in anticipation of the increased volume of people coming to our city. We also need to make sure we have enough inspectors who are making sure that these new buildings and structures are up to code and safe for everyone. My plan is to put more money into infrastructure so that we can accelerate ongoing infrastructure improvements and identify others that need to be completed.
Determined to work with City, County and Federal agencies to save and rebuild our beach
This is a growing problem in Dania Beach. It will continue to increase unless we address the situation now. I plan to work with State and Federal programs to help put the homeless to work, while at the same time making improvements to our city. I will also work with agencies in our neighboring cities who already have programs that assist with the homeless, in order to address our issues. I also plan on working to provide some educational and training programs to assist the homeless with getting back on their feet and getting back to work. there is Federal Funding available to create back to work programs for people the assist in training, finding housing, and returning them to the workforce.
